Dungeons. Daphne. Dungeons, Daphne, dungeons, dungeons dungeonsohbloodyfuckinghell. It couldn't be.
There was a crack of apparition, and Daphne appeared in the cell, cloaked and hooded in heavy black... in Death Eater's robes.
"Traitor," Draco hissed.
"Funny, one could say the same of you." Draco stiffened and turned to the sound of his father's voice, able to pick out the gleam of pale blonde hair and the silver head of his cane even in the gloom.
"Lucius," he spat, and his fingers inched slowly and stealthily toward his wand. Wait for it, wait for it...
"Just as much respect for your elders as ever, I see," Lucius answered dryly, and came into the cell. "Miss Greengrass has proven her mettle. You had your chance to do the same. You wasted it."
Draco whipped his wand out in one quick movement and pressed it to his father's throat. "I would die a thousand times over before I became like you. Now let me go, or I'll make you regret it."
Lucius just laughed, but made no move for his wand. "You foolish boy," he said, and suddenly grabbed the end of Draco's wand and snapped it in two, the sharp backlash of magic forcing Draco to drop the end of his ruined wand.
"Some wizard you are," Daphne remarked dryly, and somehow that one little taunt made Draco beyond furious. How dare she, after what she had done...
Draco didn't think; he just lunged.
